Adopt a Polar Bear!

The competition is now closed!

The draw was made by three of our independent adjudicators on Thursday 6th November. The winner was...

Scott Halvorson of Indiana, USA

Many thanks to everyone who entered.

At the 2008 International Spieltage show in Essen, Germany, we gave away 4 special limited edition copies of ICE FLOW with golden ice floe tiles (more details here).

However, for those unable to attend the Essen show or those of you who were unsuccessful, we are running a charity draw to give away the 5th and final special edition ICE FLOW copy. To enter this competition, we ask that you make a donation to our chosen charity*.

All your donations** will be used to adopt a polar bear through the World Wide Fund for Nature's excellent environmental protection scheme. We will then keep you posted about the progress of our community bear as we receive updates from the WWF.

To enter the prize draw, just click on the Paypal icon below and make a donation. Your details will then be entered into the draw to be made on 5th November 2008.

We suggest a donation of at least £2.00 / US$3.50 / €2.50 / ¥380.00 / HK$28.00 / NZ$5.00 / AUS$4.50 / etc., but please give what you can (please read the note on Paypal payment below).

Thanks to our sponsoring Donors:

If you would like to be a sponsoring donor - for a donation of £10 or more - please send us your logo and web address for inclusion on this site. We will include your logo and weblink here and on our prize draw and adopted polar bear update pages. Your details will of course still be entered into the prize draw. To make a sponsor donation, please click on the Paypal icon to the left.

Please support the polar bears!

A note on Paypal payments

Paypal takes a percentage and a fixed fee per transaction. Therefore, the more you are able to give the higher the proportion of this donation will go to the charity. For £10.00 sent as a single payment, Paypal would take £0.54; if the same £10.00 is sent as 5 x £2.00 payments, Paypal will take £1.34.

Therefore, if you have a games group and are able to pool your donations and send these as a single payment, this will be better for the polar bears. Please add the names of all donors to the 'extra information' box on the Paypal payments page; we will then add these to the draw as individual entries under the same e-mail address. Thank you.

*It is not necessary to donate in order to enter this prize draw. See Terms & Conditions.
**Unfortunately, there will be Paypal fees attached to this prize draw. We use Paypal because it is both convenient and transparent. All other proceeds after Paypal fees will go to the WWF adopt a polar bear scheme.
